Our Statement of Faith.
The Holy Bible - The Authorised version.
We believe that The Holy Bible is the infallible, inspired Word of God. It is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
The Godhead
We believe there is only one true and living God. We believe The Godhead is one God in three persons, God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit. The blessed three in one, and one in three. When St. Patrick used the little shamrock, it was the perfect illustration of The Godhead.
God The Father
We believe in God, The Heavenly Father, The Creator of Heaven and earth. He is Almighty, All powerful, all seeing, all knowing, from everlasting to everlasting. He is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. He is a God of Love but also a God of wrath, yet He is ever merciful, forgiving the sins of all who truly repent and call upon Him for Salvation through His Son Jesus Christ.
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His real humanity, His miracles. We believe in His authoritative teaching; We believe in His atoning sacrifice through His precious shed blood. His substitutionry death for our sins. His resurrection from the dead. His ascension into Heaven to be seated at the right hand of The Father, ever interceding to Him on our behalf.
The Holy Spirit
When Jesus ascended into Heaven He said, I will pray The Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, The Holy Spirit, that He may abide with you for ever. The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin. We believe the conviction of sin by the Holy Spirit is absolutely vital to personal Salvation. The Holy Spirit teaches us all things necessary for our Salvation and for our on-going walk with the Lord. He comforts us in our sorrows and in our trials. He leads and guides us into all truth. He brings to our remembrance all things which Jesus taught, to glorify Jesus, to produce fruit in the life of every true believer. He equips believers for effective service and Ministry.
Mankind
We believe when Adam sinned - death, sin and sickness entered the world. We believe that every individual is born in sin, of a fallen and sinful human nature, leaving us open to the wrath of God. We believe that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord, who loved us and gave himself for us at Calvary. We can only be cleansed and receive eternal life by turning from and repenting of our sins, leading to acceptance of Jesus as our Saviour. We can only get to Heaven when The Cleansing Blood of Jesus has been applied to our lives by Salvation.
Salvation or The New Birth
We believe that salvation or ‘the new birth,’ is available to all. We believe that the repentant sinner coming to Jesus Christ is justified by faith alone, by grace alone, through Christ alone. When you are ‘saved’ that means you are ‘born again’ of The Spirit of God. You have now become a member of the Family of God.
Water Baptism
We believe when the individual is ‘Born Again,’ then he/she should be Baptised by total immersion in water. The way ‘John The Baptist’ baptised. This is their personal, public Declaration of Faith, which signifies ‘the putting away of the old nature’ and ‘the rising up to new life in Jesus Christ.’
The Lord’s Supper
Partaking of The Lord’s Supper, in remembrance of Jesus’ death until His coming again, is a command of God. We believe we must be in right standing with The Lord before we approach His Table. Being ‘born again’ will not make us perfect – we will still sin while we are in our human body. We will only be made perfect when Jesus comes. We must keep short accounts with God, repenting of sin every day and receiving fresh cleansing. If we have anything against our fellow man or sin of any kind in our lives we must put it right before partaking of The Lord’s Supper, otherwise The Bible tells us ‘we are eating and drinking damnation to our own soul.’
The Baptism of The Holy Spirit - received after Salvation. Sometimes called The Second Blessing
We believe in The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2 v 4 is available to every ‘true born again’ believer - who asks for it. We believe The Gifts of The Holy Spirit are there for every true believer, for the edifying and building up of ‘God’s People -The Church.’ Popular opinion would state that ‘The Baptism and Gifts of The Holy Spirit’ are not for today. We believe they are. We believe in the Healing Power of Jesus. We believe in anointing the sick with oil in The Name of The Lord. We believe Divine Healing is available through the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross.
Counterfeit of The Holy Spirit Baptism
We believe there is a great counterfeit of the The Holy Spirit in operation today. If there was no genuine Baptism of The Holy Spirit then there would be no counterfeit. It’s as simple as that. We believe many people confuse ‘being born again’ with their Infant Baptism. This is where the counterfeit comes in. Infant Baptism does not make ‘the adult’ a Christian. The Bible states that we must test the Spirits whether they are of God. Sad to say, on many occasions, we have tested the spirits but found no evidence of the New Birth. If there is no evidence of ‘the new birth,’ then the individual cannot have The genuine power of The Holy Spirit in their lives. However, if you have genuine Salvation - there is no limit to the power available to you through Christ Jesus.
Our Great Commission
We believe our Great Commission is found in Mark 16 v.15-18. Go ye into all the world, and preach The Gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my Name, (Jesus) shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Prayer
We believe thatTrue believingPrayer to God, is the key to geniune victorious Christian living. Prayer changes things. Nothing is impossible with God. He is a God of miracles – if you can only believe!! Trust Him. Our God is a great God. When you trust Him for Salvation – He transforms your life. We love Him and Praise His Name every day.
